Mario Dewar Barret who performs under the name of Mario IS A famous sing turn song writer has sole over 4 million record worldwide and has even reach number one on billboard Hot 100. Mario musical talent was discovered at his high school talent show. Mario first brake through into mainstream music was in Doctor Dolittle 2 with a cover of Steve Wonders song “You And I”. Mario first album was self in titled and with his first single “Just A Friend” it managed to reach number 4 back in 2002. This album managed to sell 700 000 worldwide. Mario type of music tend to appeal to a teenage audiences as he tend to sing about early love experiences that usually teenage go through.
As Mario got older so did his lyrical content, this can be seen in his second album Turning Point. T
his album showed a matured Mario and it expressed more mature themes then his first one, this also gave him more commercial success. this can be seen with the fist release from the album “Let Me Love You” which was at number one for nine weeks in The American top one hundred. This album featured artist such as Ne-Yo and Cassidy.
When it comes to the stereotypical idea of a r n b music artist Mario fit it as his is a reflection of music. Sweet, innocent and charming. Instead of push the boundaries Mario produces the type of music people would expect from a r n b artist but on a high level.
